Rich in heritage, VitrA can be traced back as far as 1909, when Sleyman Ferit Eczacibasi, a renowned Turkish pharmacist began producing cologne and bathing products at a pharmacy in Izmir. The business was taken a step further over 30 years later when his son established a pharmaceutical lab in Instanbul and within a few years, Turkey's first ceramic sanitaryware factory was established in 1958 and VitrA was born. VitrA has continued to grow steadily, now supplying millions of ceramic sanitaryware pieces each year across the globe. VitrA is proud to produce contemporary bathroom products with timeless appeal. Through its successful relationship with international designers, VitrA has won a variety of awards for design and quality, transforming the traditional concept of the bathroom. Always at the forefront of bathroom and tile manufacturing, VitrA adapt early on to new production processes and technologies, carrying out extensive R&D at its Innovation Centre.
